The country inspired fair, with heavy horses and live sheep show amongst many other activities. Not only this but it has it's very own arena full of country inspired entertainment!


Whats happening at the Country Fair?

Bringing the heritage of the British countryside to the South Glos Show Showground. This year will see the return of 2016s newest addition the Country inspired fair, with heavy horses and live sheep show amongst many other activities it is certainly expected to be an exciting Show for 2017. This year’s Country Arena is sponsored by Chipping Sodbury Motor Company, dedicated to showing some great country inspired entertainment.

A very popular attraction every year at the South Glos Show, this year our Farrier will entertain our visitors within the Country Fair. With displays of their incredible skill of creating the beautifully classic horse show.


Set up in 1999, Raptorcare are the primary falconry company in the South West, providing medieval displays at events across the country. Raptorcare will have their incredible birds of paradise on show for everyone to see during the weekend of the Show in our Country Fair.


Whether you’re a horse or general animal lover, this is a great addition to this year’s South Glos Show.

The Heavy Horses, who are one of the tallest breed of horse, will be on site for all to appreciate their beauty.


This fun and educational addition to our Country Fair, allows our visitors to get a closer look at one of our favourite farm animals. The presenters of our Sheep Show sponsored by JD Pipes will bring education and entertain with their baa-eautiful herd of sheep. From how they sheer the sheep to how they look after them on a daily basis, they’ll answer everything you need to know!


315A 10 minute walk from the Showground is our Shooting area. Trained instructors from Shooting School UK will be on hand to guide and advise if you wish to enter our shooting competition. Visitors are also welcome to take part in our ‘have a go’ section, available for all abilities.


Geoff Shore began his love of dogs at the age of 14, since 1996 he has trained gun dogs in the Bristol area. He will be a part of our Country Fair with some four legged friends performing in our Country Arena. Alongside this, all day he will have dog scurries which are a great opportunity for those who will be bringing their dog to the Show this year.
