The animals of the desert took to the arena, heads held high and humps standing tall. Our four camels paraded around the arena showing off their groomed hair and traditionally decorated jockeys.
Each specially sponsored race was as exciting as the next, with all the camels determined to be crowned the champion (minus number three who seemed more determined to take a stroll).
The crowd roared with excitement each time as the camels reared around to the finishing line, nose to nose it was always a close finish. The crowd elated as the winning camel took the victory.
With all the fun of the races it was even more exciting knowing that all the profits from the camel races at the South Glos Show were going to the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity. They raised over £900 alone from their bucket collection alone so thanks to all our supporter over the weekend you have donated to a fantastic cause.
